List Of Large Dog Breeds

List of large dog breeds are where you find large wicker dog beds, a large dog sweater, large breed dog toys and large dog pens.

We all love the large dog breeds but finding large dog pens, large wicker dog beds or large breed dog toys can sometimes be challenging. First let's take a look at our large dog breeds so you can get an idea on who these larger dogs are before you go and start purchasing and large wicker dog beds or a large dog sweater.

Boxer

We begin our list of large dog breeds with the lively and energetic (what Terrier isn't) Airedale Terrier or the Beagle look alike, except they are taller and thinner, that is the American Foxhound. Maybe get a large dog sweater for this breed as their coat is short.

The slightly intimadating, yet natural guard dog is the American Staffordshire Terrier. If you notice, the Australian Shepherd can have bi-colored eyes (each eye is different in color), split eyes (an eye is half green or half brown) or merled eyes (one color is mixed and swirled with another).

Featured Large Dog Breed

There are three Belgian dogs in our list of large dog breeds that closely resemble the German Shepherd breed. The Belgian Malinois looks like the German Shepherd the most of the three and is sensitive pet that makes for a great family dog. The Belgian Sheepdog resembles the German Shepherd except in color where this dog breed can be all black or black with a white chest and muzzle. They are alert, active and intelligent as most herding dogs are. The third Belgian in our list of large dog breeds is the Belgian Tervuren who has a more square frame than the German Shepherd, yet is also very protective of his family.

The Black And Tan Coonhound, from the hound group, scent is what makes them move. They are non aggressive so they make for good family dogs. The Boxer also makes for a good family dog from our list of large dog breeds and if you do not watch it, can be a good couch potato. A large dog sweater would be good for this breed as their coat is short.

A large dog breed that you wonder how they can see, as their hair is draped over their eyes, is the Briard, but don't put them in a large dog pen as they can see very well, and being a working dog, needs consistent exercise.

If you want a fun loving dog from our list of large dog breeds that will get along well with children, look no further than the Bull Terrier.
