We tell you all the dog friendly vacations including the dog friendly beaches Florida, so you can enjoy your dog while on vacation. There are dog friendly motels and dog friendly hotels motels.
Most people might not realize it, but there are plenty of dog friendly vacations out there. Each of these vacations will ensure that you have a chance to hang out with your best furry friend and still feel like you are relaxing at the same time. Take a few minutes to consider each of these different options that are available to you.
In the great outdoors, you are going to find that your dog has a blast exploring. This is also a cost effective way to head out with your family and to get away from everything. Since there are typically minimal restrictions at parks and campsites, you are going to find that your dog will be welcomed. What you are going to find is that in addition to campgrounds and forests, there are some national parks that will allow dogs in them as well. This makes them the perfect choice when you are looking for some of the options that you will have for dog friendly vacations.
I recently went traveling and camping through many National parks in the USA and didn't find them to be as friendly to dogs as I would have hoped. Many of the main trails in these parks do not allow dogs. What my brother and I did, was we got up earlier than the main crowds to do the main hikes and also camped during the fall (off peak season). We also camped in parks that had free camping such as BMR land and National Forests or Crown Land in Canada. If you're into hiking, go hiking on the trails that are designated to allow dogs. Many parks have areas that are specifically meant to allow dogs.
Heading down to the ocean or lake can be a great way for you to relax. What you will find is that there are plenty of dog friendly vacations here as well. It will be in these areas that you can walk with you dog along the beach or let them play around in the ocean or lake water. Keep in mind that you will want to be sure that the current isn't too strong for the day if you allow him to head out into the water.
Our dog Patches LOVES the beach! He can't get enough of chasing his log into the water. He will choose the biggest and heaviest log, and do his best to drag it near us, expecting us to throw it in. We do our best and he'll leap at the log... barking at waves on the way! So funny.
We find that many of the main beaches that have many people are not dog friendly, but if you walk further down, away from people, you not only get to give your dog a fun walk, but you also are away from the grumpy people. I can understand why many beach people don't like dogs: bad owners forget to pickup dog poop, and i've even seen male dogs pee on sunbathers!
So, make sure to walk further down the beach, or even ask the locals where the best beach is to take your dog. Your dog will thank you!
Along with this, you will find that there are plenty of dog friendly hotels and even camping options you can find. Make sure before you head to any beach that you check on what laws are in place for your pet. While some beaches can be pet friendly, you might find that you are required to keep your dog on a leash at all times.
While you might not realize it, there are some amusement parks that can prove to be dog friendly vacations as well. While this doesn't mean that you are going to have a chance to head on out and take your pet on the rides, places like Disneyland and Disney World have areas that are designed for your pet.
Here, there will be spoiled and pampered as you spend the day in the park having fun with your family. Then you can come home at night and hang out with your four legged friend.
Keep in mind that across the world there are plenty of hotels that will allow you to bring your dog with you. Because of that, you are going to find that you do have a number of exceptional choices when it comes to a vacation for your dog. No matter if you end up going to the mountains for skiing and hiking or to the ocean to relax, your pet is going to have a number of fun things he can do along your side that will prove to be a great experience for both of you.
