Mans Best Friend:
Share your dog Memorials here.
Dogs are truly mans best friend, so losing your best buddy can be upsetting. Share your dog memorials and pictures with the world to help you grieve. Please fill out a tribute to let others know what an extraordinary friend you were blessed with.
Below are two dog poems that speak to my heart. If you've written your own for your dog and would like to share that as your memorial.
Tribute To A Best Friend
Sunlight streams through a window pane unto a spot on the floor...
then I remember,
it is where you would lie, but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet, and muted echoes sound...
then I remember,
It is where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it cannot be yours...
Your golden voice is still.
But I will take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall.
I will wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend, until we meet above.
Another great poem that also speaks to my heart.
JUST A DOG
From time to time, people tell me 'lighten up, it's just a dog', or 'that's a lot of money for a dog'.
They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for 'just a dog'.
Soome of my proudest moments have come about with 'just a dog'.
Many hours have passed and my only company was 'just a dog', but i did not once feel slighted
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by 'just a dog', and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of' just a dog' gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's 'just a dog', then you probably understand phrases like 'just a friend', 'just a sunrise', or 'just a promise'.
'Just a dog' brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
'Just a dog' brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.
Because of 'just a dog', I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it's not 'just a dog', but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
'Just a dog' brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that it's not 'just a dog', but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being 'Just a man' or 'just a woman'.
So, the next time you hear the phrase 'just a dog', just smile, because 'they just don't understand'.

Write A Memorial About Your Companion
When we lose someone as close to us as our furry companions, it is hard to think they will not be the first one greeting you when you come home anymore.
It is painful and hard to overcome, but writing a tribute or a memorial will help your grieving process, and let others know what a wonderful part of your life they were.
